About Me
Robert Obiefuna was born and raised in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria, to a royal family of the Igbo tribe. Raised by Christian parents (Catholic), at age 11 attended a boarding seminary high school, Tansi International College Awka, Anambra state, where he graduated at age 17. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, where he studied Cooperative Economics and Management and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Robert pursued a career in the financial industry, gaining 7 years of global experience in Finance, Leadership, Business, Marketing, Sales, Organizational Management, and Structure. He immersed himself in the financial industry by participating in an internship at the Central Bank of Nigeria (Apex Financial Institution of the federal government) and Nigeria Petroleum Product Marketing Company Limited(PPMC). He also partnered with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), an agency dedicated to providing Nigerians with access to quality health care. While with NPHCDA, he served as a member of a team that collaborated with World Bank to execute the Nigeria States Health Investment Project (NSHIP). Robert fulfilled the mission of this project by traveling to local hospitals and clinics to collect and analyze qualitative data, in order to assess the quality and efficacy of the health services being provided to the patients within the facilities. His role in this project was a pivotal proponent of bridging the gap of health care disparities for underserved populations in Nigeria.

Robert later gained employment with Zenith Bank, a leading financial corporation, where he became a Marketing Team Lead. While serving in this leadership role, he led his team to achieving their organizational market target by signing top business moguls in Nigeria, ultimately growing the branch profits by 15%. This led to the promotion of all members on his team by the organization and earned him a promotion to an Executive Assistance Marketer/Relationship Manager.

As a firm believer in the notion that education can unlock opportunities for success and self-development, Robert made a thoughtful decision to relocate to United States in pursuit of his Masters degree in Communication and Media focusing on Strategic Organizational Communication and Leadership at Rutgers University. He is currently employed as an Instructional Assistant on Communication and Information Process Course (MCM 101). Through his education and leadership experience, Robert is committed to providing tools and resources for financial literacy in underserved communities. He is also dedicated to rebranding the corporate world and financial industry towards being more ethically grounded by practicing Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI), upholding social responsibility goals (CSR) and maintaining environmental, social and governance practices (ESG).
